The Heathen Seeress wielded power through speech, subtlety, and spells throughout the pre-Christian Germanic world, and her voice is once again being heard by practitioners today. This workshop offers a broad view of this woman who still captivates our attention, of the powers she demonstrates in the surviving sources, the interplay of reverence, suspicion, and fear felt by those that encountered her, and a general review of etiquette for anyone who seeks to “approach the seeress” themselves.
