About the event
The Yule season is the most sacred in Heathenry, traditionally celebrated for a span of days or weeks. Starting off this important time of year is Mothers’ Night, a modern Heathen observance of the eve before the solstice, inspired by West Germanic survivals. We will be exploring the significance of our female deities and ancestral guardian mothers honored during this celebration, as well as customs of house-cleaning, warding, taboos around spinning and fiber arts, the Feast of the Good Ladies, and how these practices can help make gentle space in your home for the complicated landscape of the modern holiday season.
