From the mythological to the mundane, the power of the air moves through Heathen practice. The Wild Hunt embodies the winter wind, chasing down the spirits of nature with its ghostly howling. The wind is governed by gods like Woden and Njord, or stirred up by a corpse-eating Eagle at the edge of the world. But the true power of the air is in our breath – in the ways that each of us shape our breath into intention and truth through our words. This workshop will be an overview of some of Heathenry’s most potent symbols of wind and breath, followed by a ritual practice of focusing our thoughts and harnessing the power of our breath to speak our intentions into the world.
