We approach the dark half of the year – the season of the wisewomen in Heathenry. Winter is a time for crafting, storytelling, prophecy, and dreaming, and it is governed by the goddesses and the ancestral mothers of our tribes. In this ritual, we will enter the dark time mindfully, pouring out offerings of gratitude for the luck and protection of our family and communities, then seeking wisdom from our own guardian wisewomen to inform our winter work. This session will begin with a short discussion of who the wisewomen are in Heathenry, followed by a participatory ritual and a guided meditation. This ritual is open to persons of all genders.
